Thinking of buying a new iPad?

Thinking of buying a new iPad?

iPad comparison

This page on Apple’s website at http://store.apple.com/uk/ipad/compare allows you to compare all features such as:-

  • Finish
  • Capacity*
  • Price (RRP)
  • Display
  • Dimensions
  • Weight
  • Chipset
  • TouchID (where available)
  • Camera
  • Video recording
  • Mobile and wireless
  • SIM card
  • Connector
  • Battery life
  • Sensors

* iPad memory cannot be (easily) expanded, so be sure the model you buy has enough for the programs and files you’ll want it to store. (You can buy a plug in SD card reader, but this isn’t convenient).

When buying, be sure to budget for a protective case, ideally one which also acts as a stand allowing you to use it handsfree (great if you plan to use it for watching movies or even reading a book!)

Taking your iPad abroad?

Taking your iPad abroad? You may want to use AIRPLANE MODE to disable its communication features (wi-fi, bluetooth, GPS, location services and any 3G features).

Once you activate it by going into “Settings” a small airplane logo appears in the status bar at the top left hand corner of the screen.
